Is it full of exciting newsletters you can’t wait to read?
I doubt it.
If your inbox is anything like mine, it’s full of newsletters and emails sent by people and companies that fall into two camps:
You don’t remember signing up for their list, so you’re feeling a little exploited (I feel the same way any time a brand adds me to their list without permission)
You remember signing up for the list, but you don’t get regular emails from the company, so you start to wonder what happened.
I see it all the time.
B2B founders have some exciting announcements or need clients, so they start sending emails out of nowhere.
Then, they get some responses, get busy with work, and leave their email list to just chill.
This is not how you do it.
If you want to drive consistent revenue from your list, you need to be consistently emailing your list.
Here’s how you can do that:
Pick a repeatable format you can stick to
My newsletter is 1-minute long 1x per week, so it’s fairly easy for me to stick to it. Make sure you pick a format that delivers the most value to your audience - if you just start promoting yourself with every newsletter, you’ll piss off your subs.
Create a template you can reuse for each newsletter issue
Create content, so you’re always 2-4 weeks ahead
Rinse and repeat
