What are the email metrics you should optimize for?

Is it open rates?

CTRs?

No.

The core metric that matters is revenue.

Followed by reply rates and CTRs.

Open rates are last because they can be unreliable, especially with Apple’s email updates.

So, what does this mean for your email marketing?

You need to optimize your emails for conversions and replies but not by being more salesy but by giving more value and starting a conversation with your readers.

So, in your next email, do this:

  • Have 1 core CTA with a specific action (Book a call; subscribe now, etc.)

  • End the email with a question people can answer.

  • Tell them that you’ll reply to them.

That way, you’ll start more conversations with your readers and make more sales.

Try it.

Keep dominating,

Tanyo
